Default where is the engine number?

A buddy of mine just got an 05' 600RR but it was from out of state so he has to get it inspectedby MVD and i guess they need the engine number. We looked it over well but can not seem to find it, does anyone know where it is and what plastics need to be taken off to see it.

If your talking about the VIN# it's located on the front right side, on the frame. Right below the right handle bar.
