I was wondering how long you wait or what factors you consider to determine when you get rid of your first bike to get a new second bike.

 

I bought a Z 1000 because it was so cheap that I couldn't pass it up. It works great for around town and is quite utilitarian.
The CBR is mainly for weekend riding on twisty roads with friends that have sport bikes.
The children have dirtbikes...so I needed to have one of those too.

I don't think you need to have a reason to have another motorcycle. I'm sure you have noticed that motorcycles have become more focused. If you can afford it and the insurance is tollerable, buy what you want.
