Default Wheelies

I just got my bike a few weeks ago and it is barely broken in so I haven't tried any thing yet. I am wondering if you have to use the clutch to pop a wheelie on the 600 rr. Can anyone give me an idea of how they do it so I don't have to figure it out myself?

If your wanting to ride a wheelie, go to sight and sounds and watch the video over wheelies. It's a great tutorial.

Find where your power band is, try and not use the clutch. My 600RR pops em up at 6K+ 1st gear Just stick in first, get to 6K and move back on the seat a little...then just ****in throttle it up. It'll lift up. 8)~ Just be carefull....don't want to 12 O'clock it lol.

Im learning to, just practice, its gonna come up FAST so roll off a little...try not to drop it on the forks hard....no fun blowing the front seals. Also, brake the bike in if its new. Atleast 500mi before rompping on it. I waited till I got over 1k on my bike. Now I am finding where it wants to do ****. GOOD LUCK!

Ridin wheelies is fun. I do what cruzin says be on the way back on the seat. In first gear get to about 60 mph or 6oorpms and rev up a little let off to get the bike to go down in the front a little and quickly rev it back up and pull at the same time. My friends pull wheelies in 2nd by featherin the clutch. My buddy brock's(suzuki 750) record for a wheelie is 2 1/2 miles amazing i know but i watched him do it and watched the mileage with my trip.

Uh......there is a big difference between 60mph in first and 6k rpms in first, might want to give a little clearer instructions for the guy before he goes out and attempts it.

First gear power wheelies are a good learning tool but try not to get too comfortable. First gear winds out very quickly, good luck riding out a first gear power wheelie. Also, as stated above, doing power wheelies in 1st over and over... you WILL blow fork seals, chopping throttle in first just brings that nose down too hard. Power wheelies are great for feeling out the bike while on one wheel. I recommend 2nd gear clutch wheelies. Roll into the wheelie at around 40mph in 2nd... barely tug in on the clutch, just to get it to slip, grab an extra 5k rpm's and drop the clutch. With practice you'll be able to bring it straight to balance point and ride it out. Good luck and have fun.

Me too, wheelies aren't for me either. Doesn't make me any less of a biker!
