What year RR to get?
I've owned an '02 F4i for the past few years and been thinking about switching to an RR. I know that some people will say to stick with the F4i because I'm not using it to its full potential, and they'd be right. But I'm kinda looking for a new project since I've finished modding it to my liking and am ready to start clean. Plus I really love the look of the RR's and especially the under-seat exhaust.
So anyways my question is what year do you guys think is the best compromise of performance, comfort, mod-ability, etc. I know I've seen some talk about some being easier to switch tail lights than others and things like that... I'm just not familiar with the RR's, hence me starting this thread.
TIA

Are you looking to get a crashed bike and restore it or looking to buy new/ slightly used for pure modifcation? I love the 07 cbr's and thats what I have.. I love everything about it except that I am not good with body work so putting in an integrated tail light is a huge mission for me anyway. everything else so I have had no problem with
Y'know, I just re-read your thread opener, and something about it bothered me.
You said in there, " Some people say 'stick with the f4i, because your not using it to it's full potential, "AND THEY'D BE RIGHT' if you have any doubts, then don't do it!

07'
i had an 02F4i like yourself, but just purchased a slightly used 07'RR for a great price! I really had no intentions of selling her, but saw the RR for the price they were asking (dealer not private sale) $6900 Canadian, w just over 7K on the dial, plus it was the color scheme i loved, it was a no brainer. I wanted a bike i would keep for a while, and what better choice than the all new redesigned RR. Now for spring to just get here
Im sure i wont use my new RR to its potential, and i doubt i did my F4i, but then again who really does ? i got what i wanted end of story
I ride to work when its sunny, go for weekend twisty rides or just a simple ride w friends all good!
Ride safe! and good luck w whatever year you decide on

Most people are gonna be some what biased, based on what they have. I say look up the specs, price, etc and see which best fits you. Oh yeah, I have an 08RR and in love with it, but then again, I'm biased too lol.
id have to say gotta look into the 07rr has the most power of the rr and is a great all around bike i have 13k on mine now and its still runnin amazing. i run amsoil and have enough mods to be very happy.
