what temp does your fan kick on at?
just wondering what temp your fans kick on at.. riding around last night, stopped at a redlight and just kept watchin my temp meter rise.. got all the way to 228 degrees and still no fan :shrug:.. is that right? my manual doesnt give a temp and my search brought up nothin. i can't imagine my *** burnin up at a redlight to be a good thing.. any info is appreciated, thanks!

i have a 04 600 and its kick at 220. on a good night i ride at avg 180, so yeha if it hit up 228* with no fan id check your connectors. they might have vibd loose. or a loose solder i had one last week in my headlight switch kill my lights up in the mountians not fun..

my fan does not come on at all. i was on my buddies r6 and his kicked on and i was like 'wtf was that?' ..he said his fan.. ive never heard mine kick on unless its ungodly quiet and im just missin it. ive only had the bike almost 2 weeks.. its my first bike.. total noob so thanks for the help everyone.. ill go run it a bit and see if it comes on.
last night when we were riding it was about 68 degrees out btw.. average riding temp was 178.. rolling slow speed temp was in the 180s.. red light- hot damn- 220+..
