What does your CBR 600 mean to you?
Hey there,
What purpose does your CBR 600 serve you? I'm interested to know what the group dynamic is here.
I threw in a few questions below in case people want to get specific.
- Is it your only mode of transportation?
- Is it comfortable enough for a tall person to do sport touring?
- For stunting, how frequently do you go through parts or entire bikes?
- Do you recommend riding the same bike for racing and commuting?
Thanks in advance for the input!

RE: What does your CBR 600 mean to you?
My 600RR is now a race bike only. I put over 10,000 miles on her between
October 2007 & October 2008. I knew I would take her off the street once
I did my first track day back in May 2008. I love taking her to the track & not
having to worry about putting her bike in street mode. Don't get me wrong, I
would love to get another 07 or 08 for the street, buy my wife would probably
leave me. I do miss the days where I would put 400 or 500 miles on her in a
single trip.

RE: What does your CBR 600 mean to you?
my RR is all of the above including money pit and frustration (see my thread on starting problems)
I haven't tracked it yet, but want to, most of all its a stress release and an way to have fun. I have a car so its not really a commuter but i do ride it to work and school sometimes, i prefer not to ride in traffic, its annoying, i have put 10,000 miles on her and most of those are from country rides.

RE: What does your CBR 600 mean to you?
For 2 years straight, my 600RR was my ONLY form of transportation........so commuter/sport tourer/trackday racer, etc. was what it was. But now that I have a car for the commute, the 600RR is now strictly a toy. I take it out on the weekends, and I'm waiting for some extra cash flow to make her strictly into a trackbike/weekend racer.
