i just took them off of my 07.
after about a week of messing with them trying various angles of the bars themselves, brake MC and clutch lever i couldnt get them to set up right.
they either hit the fairings before full lock or if angled far enough forward to not to do that the MC hit the fairing stay.
this was my first attempt at installing aftermarket clip ons mind you so there is a learning curve there but i do know what feels comfortable to m and those were not.
I do know however that woodcraft quit selling clip ons for the 07 because of just that issue. that their bars would hit the fairings because of the angle. the vortex and woodcraft have the same angle. i just wish i would have found this out before i bought them. woodcraft is doing a redesign which is supposedly going to be released before the end of the year

On the 07/08's there is a clearence issue on everyone I've seen except on race bikeswhere they have replaced the stock fairing stay with a race version (like the one from Yoyodyne).
Personally If your going to be using the bike on primiarily on the street, I wouldn't bother with clip-ons becuase of theclearence issues.

do you think it would weaken their strength to much ifi cut them a little bit? or do you think i should just try and sell them on Ebay. i already bought a set of them now before i read these posts
i have the yoyodyne fairing stay on my 07 and i still have clearance issues.
i am waiting for woodcraft to release their 07 version that rises like the oem ones to avoid clearance issues.
you can also try the valter motos but they are labeled 06 even though they have the same 10mm rise as the 07 oem.
