Default Visiting Friends- Too far to ride?

Be it summer and all I now can enjoy my weekends and finally visit some friends that went off to school @ other colleges- One of my buddies lives about 133 miles away and the other ruffly 315 miles- I would go Fri-Sun, so there is a rest period if need be; Would that be too far to ride on my 06 600rr? Whats the furthest some of you have ridden- I dont want to ride up there and dread the ride back home.... Thanks n advanced for some constructive optinions-

Question-Are you going to be drinking over the weekend? If yes, that sunday drive home is going to be a bitch!
I've done 200 miles straight down I-70,but had to stop a couple times for the likes of McDonald's and to get the feeling back in my right hand.
315 miles to me is a long haul, butthat's just my opinion.
If this rain ever stops, I'll get my *** down to Wichita one of these days.

Not too far for me to ride, but I am use to doing long distance.I have a choice of which bike to ride though and would take the Aprilia, but if I ONLY had the CBR, I would ride it.It's you that's doing the ride though, not me!

ive gone 780 miles in one day. and then did the same to get back home 4 days later and no problems with the bike at all. you wont have any problems as long as you keep up on your normal maint. ie. oil change, chain lube stuff like that

Sounds like a plan then- I've ridden a few hours w/ friends but its with constant stops and breaks- wasnt sure how comfortable a 2-5 hour trip would be- Thanks for the feedback

Get yourself a Vista Cruise Throttle lock for the long trips where you are buzzing down the highway. Lets you rest Your right hand occasionally.
Easy to install, and remove and nothing permanent to the bike needs to be done.

the bike will be fine, its you that may need comforting.. bring maybe a water pack to sip on wit a straw(tube) to your mouth, maybe an ipod if you can ride like that and rest for a few minutes if need be. i personally have never ridden longer than 120 miles at a time..

The farthest I've ever ridden at one time was 463 miles. I took a few breaks, your right hand will give you the most trouble. Other than that its not that bad if you take a couple breaks to save your legs.
