umm doesn't this void the warrenty? or can you throw on aftermarket parts and not worry about the warrenty?

Just keep the stock parts, and if ever need to take it in just swap them back in.

yeah i figured that - umm but for like service maintance (changing the oil and what not) i dont have to put the stock parts back on right? it's only for like engine problems and major stuff - and would painting the bike void it also? (i want a 600rr but i love the new candy blue/yellow paint scheme on 1000 - so just wishful thinking)

depends on what you're looking for: performance or looks. below is 2 lists

PERFORMANCE AND PROTECTION
1. suspension adjustments to stock setup
2. frame sliders
3. power commander
4. -1 front sprocket
5. tires

LOOKS
1. fender eliminator
2. flush mount front signals
3. integrated rear light
4. slip-on silencer
5. windscreen

these are all suggestions besides the obvious upgrades to yourself. do not spend money on mods till you have the proper gear. and i know you are a track guy in the car, take the time to put some track time on the bike. knowing what your bike (and yourself) can and cannot do will make you a better and safer rider.

Not sure about painting, you'd have to check with your dealership on that. As for maintenance and oil changes, D/L the manual and do it yourself. Save yourself some money so you can put it towards mods...which is what this thread's about, here's my 6-10

6. Single seat cowl
7. PCIII USB
8. Carbon rear hugger, chain guard (maybe aluminum), side coverings
9. Fairing mesh
10. Corbin seat

I'm actually thinkin' of puttin' rim tape on my wheels next, and a few other decals, but I don't really consider those mods. Also thinkin' about tires, but I figure I'd just get new ones when my treads wear out so that doesn't really make the mod list either.

i haven't seen anything mentioned in this thread that would void the factory warranty. the only questionable item is the power commander (because it alters the stock computer settings) but it states clear as day on the power commander site that it does not void the warranty.

thanks 929 - well it's just today i went to the honda dealership (this guy was a real shark, worse then a stripper haha) but i kept him on his toes - and i asked him about voiding the warrenty like exhaust kit and he was like "well if it isn't stock then it is voided" - but then again, the bastard wouldn't budge from MSRP on the 600 or the 1000 so yeah.. so with the factory warranty you can do alot of external parts on the bike like exhaust, alarm, sliders, etc etc but anything internal will void it - and this comes right from the Honda dealership right? so every dealership in the US has to obided by it? (sorry just trying to get it straight, i was goign to get a used bike because i could mod it up whenever without worrying about warrenty but if i can do it to a new bike? sh*t F the used ones) but i sure as hell aint buying from couer d'alane dealership, count on that..

Lets see my 5 are...

1.Power Commander USB
2. LP Signals front(Stock were hideous)
3. Seat Cowl
4. Sportech Screen(for looks only)
5.Corbin Seat(get one of these)

Bike came with Power Commander and a 2 Bros slip on and ive got some Velocity Stacks too but im in no mood to be tinkering around with something like that when the RR rips already.Maybe in the Winter ill tear it all down do the frame and rims..for that super special polished look.
