Default tires

well, I've posted on this topic before. But, I've heard some news on the Michelins, and the Dunlops. The power pilots are dual compound, but NOT seperate. One mixture over all. Plus the dunlops are only 140 bucks. That's rear only, but, I have a good front. I just got a job however and don't even have the cash for the rear! I have 3900 miles and a SLICK spot dead center of my tire. The outsides are FINE, but the middle is TOAST! Aparently, it's NOT from burnouts, and the general thought is that it's from HEAVY acceleration. Which I do LOTS of. Anyone else have these problems?

low tire life can be linked to how hard you get on it in 1st and 2nd and how much. I have 4800 miles on my 208's and are just under 1/2 tread life

No problems here. I have about 500 miles on my Michelins and they look brand new.
