Default Thinking of doing it myself....

Ever since I bought my bike I came to the conclusion that I was going to do as many mods as I could myself. So far I've managed to put on my own custom front and rear turn signals, K&N Air Filter, and most recently my Two Brothers M2 Exhaust. My next major mods are going to be a 520 Conversion kit and a Power Commander. I have a buddy who doesn't really have any mechanical skills (and neither do I for the most part, but my father's a mechanic and I've been around him all my life if that counts for anything) who thinks I'm nutz and can't do it. He says that since one of our ridding buddies who is a mechanic took his to the shop and had his done that I should do the same. I consulted with my dad about what I was going to do and he told me that he changes his all the time on his older bike and that there's nothing to it. So I figure ifI start my endeavor that if I run into any other problems then I'll consult with the old man. All that being said is there anything special I should know before I change my sprockets on my 06 CBR 600?? I figure if I can save the $150 it would cost to have someone else do it for me, I can spend it on more mods for my bike. Your input is always appreciated

Default RE: Thinking of doing it myself....

Search the forum for the link to the service manual for the bike. (or get one off of ebay for cheap) and you should be fine...
