U people kill me! Lol. 5'3" '05 600RR, first bike, I can touch the ball of one foot, and I figured it out. Granted, I don't have as much leverage being short, so I did drop it twice last year. Both times this happened was cause I stalled trying to make a right turn. Just added incentive to concentrate and not screw up, cause as long as I do it right, everythings ducky.

i'm 5'9" and 150lbs. I can put both feet flat and seem to have leg left over. I think you'll be fine, but YOU must decide.

im 5'7" now, but i learned how to ride 4 years and 2 inches ago on a much bigger and heavier (and slower, hahaha) bike. about the same seat height though, i dropped it once, but it was just a beginner mistake, not a height thing, you're alright as far as height goes.

well i didn't mention... i dropped her twice although I am 5'7 as well, but like you said it was a newbie mistake and not a height thing, I better suppose because they both happened in the first month, and never after that.

This is going to be my first bike, i going to take riding course here in Reno next month at my community college. Many of you guys are concerned about this bike as a first timer, can you please tell me why. I looked at other bike such as r6, gsxr 600, ninja, but i like the 600rr the most. Should i not get this bike, what's my alternative.

Ohhh, by the way, i checked my height after a long time with a measuring tape, i am 5 feet 10 inch. so if i wear a boot during riding, it will make me another one or two inch taller.

the 600rr was my 1st street bike, although I rode dirt bikes forever. Just take it easy, take your safety course and grab some books. You will be fine as long as you learn to ride the bike, not just haul *** everywhere. Keep your self in check with the power under the seat. Only ride at your skill level, which for me, is still SLOW and Easy.

I'm only 5"6 and i could only tippy toe one leg, so i lowered my RR 1" and i can tippy toe both legs, i also lowered the bike 3" so see how it felt, i can reach perfect but i didn't like the way it rides to low and i like taking turn real fast and i couldn't, i was scare to hit the peg because it was to low, but the 1" is good for me i can handle the bike and I'm comfortable with it.
