Default temperature

When I am riding around i average about 172 or so. When I am in stop and go traffic the temp runs up to about 200+. I never hear the fan kick on, this could be because my hearings shot and I wear a full face helmet. Are these temperatures within normal operating range or should I be worried. The bike is still under warranty, so thats not gonna be an issue. Thanks guys.

As long as you don't go over 230, you're ok. Like Don said... fan kicks in around 219.

Just pulled put my f4i and changed the oil and plugs. Rode fine the last few days. Its has been cool out. Today it was about 68 and I got caught it some traffic and got up to 215!!! pulled away started dropping down slowly. I pulled over and shut the bike down.. I went inside the gas station. when I came out I had a small puddle of coolant under the bike from the over flow.. How often should I change the coolant I have never done it. I have 21K bought it used 4 years ago.. Anything would help guys..
