Default temp on my 600RR

I looked around, but did not see a post that fit my question. I purchased my new 600RR two weeks ago. It is an awesome machine. I giggle like a schoolgirl everytime I crack the throttle. On Friday my buddies were talking about their temp as they ride. It seems my buddy's 636 runs at 120F on a normal ride. he asked me and I realized that my new bike runs at about 89-100c. That converts to 212f. Am I crazy or is this beast running too hot?

Thanks for any help...

If I remember correctly my 05 600rr cruises down the highway at around 174F. At idle in traffic it runs in the low 200's. The cooling fan comes on at 219F

I have an 05 1000 RR with just over 1000 miles. Mine runs exactly 180 F on the freeway and at idle it gets up to 220F.

oh snap... my 03 600rr gets up to 240F idle on long rides... idk if its because i live in Hawaii either.

...yall got me worried now... thats just about a full 20F more then everyone elses highest!!!

at highway speeds its about 190 - 210F...

i bought the bike used so idk the history of the bike too much... is this overheating?

SHOULD I WORRY?!

I would not worry a whole lot unless you start going over the 250 mark. Being a 2003 and I am just guessing here it prob has never had the coolant changed and that stuff does break down over time. It does not cost that much if you do it yourself might want to start there.

we started hitting the triple digits here, and at lights my temp goes to around 135. just depends on outside temp, like mentioned, if it's not over 250 then don't worry too much.

I'm in south GA and my 05 600RR runs about 225F at stoplights and around 180F cruising. This seems to be fairly normal and +/- 20 degrees or so is nothing to be concerned about.

ok next question. I am reading my manual and it does not tell me how to change my TEMP from metric to standard. I got my speedo switched but the temp gauge is just bugging me know.
