Default Teeth on sprocket

to do 2nd gear wheelies and ride em, should i adjust the sprockets or is my bike ok as of now?? i have the 03 cbr 600rr, i am fairly new to popping up the wheel but i ride with 1000cc bikes who obviously have no problems, and i want to know if it is the bike or me... if anyone has some insight i would appreciate it...

My buddy can do stand ups on his 04 CBR600RR in third gear some how and it has the orginal gears. Unless he is lying to me and doing them in second, I have no idea how he does it but I've seen him many times when we are going about 65 MPH stand up and get that front wheel up and ride on one wheel all day long. I wish I could do that [:@]. To his credit he is one of those guys who has been been riding everything from 50's to trials bikes to street bike since he would walk.

You should be able to with practice. Sit back, rev and slip the clutch.

The bike can handle it. The question is can you? Regearing will make it easier but the most important thing is practice practice practice.

it can def come up on 2nd i have a 900rr 1993, i went up 5 and down 1 in the front, i notice it was alot easier however, though i switched back to original and i ha da easier time finding the balance point. a bigger sprocket might help but the stock is always better.

It's not the bike, You have to practice. I have gotten my bike up in second easy. It just came up. I had to clutch it. But to ride it out you have to learn how to shift with the front wheel up. It takes time.

bcschul heres what you do. take your bike up to 9 grand in second gear, (you may have to go up to 10.5) stand up on the bike. while riding in the stand up position blip the throttle,(give it a little more gas close the gas then open it full trottle) when the gas is reopened all the way give a yank on the handle bars and hold on... (this must be done all in one fluid motion) you will have to practice this a few times but this will send you skywards or on your back at high speed. very easy and controlled once you get the hang. you can practice the "blip" in 1st gear without standing. you will see that the blip will bring the bike up very easy..... let us know how you do and good luck... if you have anyother questions let me know.

everything on mine is stock and I can ride sit downs in 1st and 2nd and stand ups in 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th. No clutch. all power and body weight. I weigh 140 lbs. you just have to practice.

In the amount of time it would take you to order the sprockets, wait for them to come in and then install them you could learn to do it with your stock setup.
