ok so i have the bike in my avatar (2004 600RR) and it came with a tank bra with the matching silver wings going up the side...

anyways, i was thinking of taking that bra off and putting on a tank pad instead... pros/cons... opinions?

I feel like the bra is kind of leaving a tiny bit of a line along the top of it on the tank and the longer its on there the worst its going to get, plus its a bitch to clean with the bra on...

even though my bike is black, do you think my knees rubbing against the side without the bra on (if i put the tankpad on) would leave little scratches in the paint?

ALSO- im debating between a black or carbon fiber tank pad... which to pick?

 

tank pad, because its not the actuall gas tank; you really have nothing to worry about, just a fairing.

 

The tank pad will keep it from getting scratched/fade where your crotch hits the tank. You souldn't get any noticable scratches from you knees on the sides of the tank unless your rubbing you legs back and forth on them.

Get the tank pad, tank bra's are way lame.

go with the carbon fiber seen it on an 07 600rr and it look spretty clean

 

thats what i was just going to ask....... what does everyone think: black or carbon fiber?
it'll be going on a black bike and i may add the carbon fiber levers down the road.
