Why would you do that to a bike that is essentially a track bike?

No they are a little different, but they do have them for sale.

Do what you want to your bike. It's yours.

No argument - it is your bike.

However, one has to question the wisdom of stretching a 600RR when there are many bikes more suited to straight-line racing. Let's face it, once you stretch the bike you can forget about keeping up in the twisties. I'd suggest that if you want a fast bike that goes great in a straight line, get a Busa.

The 600RR is a great bike - handling being one its best atributes. Once stretched, kiss the flickability goodbye. There are other 600cc bikes with more horsepower which MIGHT be better suited to being stretched and raced a 1/4 mile at a time.
