Default Swing Arm Spools

Anyone have a good recommendation for some good swingarm spools. I bought a stand and now I need the spools.

Thanks all!

IMO it depends on the look you want. You can get small aluminum ones that only serve only as points for the rear lift or you can get ones that stick farther out and act as lift points/sliders. I've been told that if you have frame sliders swing arm sliders won't act as sliders because they wont touch the pavement.

I'm using the spools more with a stand than for protection.

As long as the spools have the recessed/tapered grooves that are closest to the swing arm. They should work with any stand that has the V shaped ends that grab the spools. Check out my write up on the Cycle Cat rear stand in the Product Reviews section of the Forum.
There you will see pictures of what I have. From what I've seen most swing arm spools that double as sliders are designed this way. I think mine cost about $20. Just remember to get the correct sized threaded bolts for your bike. My understanding is the bolt size is the main difference between spools made for different makes and models of bikes.

Correct.

FYI - the CBR will use an 8mm bolt. In fact, I *think* all Hondas equipped with spool sockets use 8mm.

No problem! Keep in mind that you can buy spools pretty much anywhere - just be sure to specify 8mm. (I'd also recommend applying blue Loctite to them when you torque 'em down.)
