Street-Riding Chicken Strips...post 'em up
I know you track-day guys shouldn't have ANY, but feel free to post if you like.
Never seen a track. My right sideis about 1/2" thick. I low-sided on that side taking my VERY first turn with this bike. It'll be gone soon though.

I was real leary about taking hard turns to the right for the first 1500 miles or so, but recently I've been getting over pretty good.
TbAg,
You don't really need to be FLYING through corners to lean over hard, just fast enough and at the right angle of attack. Steady throttle, smooth lean and focus your eyes on where you want to go. MAKE SURE NO GRAVEL. MAKE SURE TIRES ARE HEATED!
Although, I wouldn't be leaning too hard within the first500 miles of brand new tires. You should be fine by now though...Heybuddy,
I had that "big ol" thrash/scrub mark on my right side after my low-side...I'm guessing that's what you have? What was Sunday's "incident" by the way?
yeah i got that! i scrubbed it off with a rag. LOL
sundays incident involved me taking a turn with cold tires, spriing the rear and lowsiding on the left side at 40mph..
i got away with only $400 in damage or so, thank god i put those frame sliders on last week...

Ahh...lucky bass-turd! I had to replace a couple plastics (still have to replace the tail and lower) and the right side case-cover. The mid and upper plastics and the cover cost about $450!!
Dam you cold tires!![:@]

Dam you cold tires!![:@]
lol the main damage was done to the tail fairing, the lower has MINOR nicks, enough that even me (im really really **** about keeping things perfect, LOL) isnt going to replace it, the upper got some rash as well, its barely noticable but im replacing it..
but its just stupid stuff
i.e. left side mirror ($45), left side cover ($40), left side peg mount ($45), shift lever ($45
it all adds up.

Both sides of mine look like your left, will toss up some pics tomorrow when there is enough light for decent pics lol. Try to see how low i can get it on the way to and from work every day lol... so fun
