Just wondering what do some of you guys do to your bikes to store it for the winter, like take the battery out, etc......

I put my battery tender on the battery. Drain the fuel from the carbs and put some stabilizier in the fuel. I think thats about it... and sometimes if my gf isn't looking I will give her a hug. [sm=smiley20.gif]

I'll only store for a few weeks at a time... at the worst. So I don't plan on doing much.

I use a head lift and a rear stand to take the pressure off the forks and prevent flat spots on my tires.

I put Stabil in the tank, unhooked the battery, put it on my rear stand and then put a towel under the front tire since it is stored on my garage floor.

People have told me about taking the load of the suspension but that seems a little crazy. I mean it sits on the suspension for 3/4 a year. What is another couple months? They can handle it believe me.

Another member on a similar post mentioned "fogging" the cylinders. This involves removing the spark plugs then spraying an oil fogging lubricant in the plug hole. I found the Sta-Bil fuel stabilizer and the fogger, under the same brand, at my local mom and pop hardware store. I also use a front and rear stand.
