Have any of you guys had a problem (if it is a problem) with the starter sometimes squealing when you start the bike? Mine has been doing it since I got the bike, but not sure. I told the dealer. They checked it, but it never did that to them.....so I don't know if anyone else is having the same "problem".

Sometimes when I start my bike, the starter squeals for about a second after the bike started. It does this every once and a while. Doesn't matter what temp, time of day, anything. It just does it sometimes.

Anyone else have this happen to them?

 

does it sound like a high pitch squeal. Maybe its staying engaged a bit to long.

 

Yeah, it sort of does. Actually, that sounds exactly what its doing. Does yours do it, or have heard of this before?

Also, do you know if its adjustable, or do I need a new starter? (either way, I'm going to have the dealer take care it (warranty), I already went to them once, but I didn't know what I was talking about, so they really didn't know what to look for). But that seems like what it is (so simple, why didn't I ever think of it. Hmmm).
