A COUPLE OF DAYS AGO I HAD THE ROAD ALL TO MY SELF AND DESIDED TO RIP IT, SO FINALLY I REACH 5TH GEAR AND RIGHT BEFORE IT REDLINES I NOTICED THAT I WAS ALREADY GOING 160MPH AND STILL HAD ANOTHER GEAR TO GO, IS THIS NORMAL FOR THE 06 CBR'S, OR IS MY SPEEDO REALLY OFF?? (AND ITS STILL STOCK)

 

way off.. you were probably in 6th.

 

IM 100 % POSITIVE I WAS IN FIFTH GEAR JUST ABOUT TO REDLINE IT WITCH IS WHY IM FREAKING OUT THINKING I GOT A BLESSED ONE OR MY SPEEDO IS JUST OFF

 

Sure it wasn't in Kilometers? My 5th gear windes out at about 125-130 max. It has been a while, but I am sure that is about it. Then when I kick it into 6th she will hit 165 at about 15rpm. (these speeds were pre-powercommander and mods)

However I can neither confirm, nor deny, I have actually ever gone that fast. ;-)

 

It's doubtful that this was accurate. When clocking my bike I've noticed that the speedo is usually between 10-15% off on the low side.

But be careful red-lining your '06. Have you broken it in yet?

LOL, IM POSITIVE IT WASNT IN KILOMITERS, I LIVE IN MIAMI.. AND YEAH SHES ALREADY BROKEN IN WITH 1,900 MILES.. (AND I DID IT AGIAN STILL 160 IN 5TH GEAR, 6TH IS STILL UNKNOWN CAUSE I DONT HAVE THE ***** YET.)

 

just to let you know that your speed guage can also display kph. you have to select mph. hold the two buttons down at the same time I think. I have a 04 and one say why going a little to fast i was shocked to see my bake at 162 and then I chacked it again and it was on the kph setting.
