smooth powerband??

Default smooth powerband??

i recently bought an 07 cbr 600 and couldnt notice this power band it would hit around 3.5k rpm's. kinda reminds me of a 2 stroke dirt bike... Is there anything out there that can smooth it out??? am i the only onewith this problem?? please help.

getting used to the throttle? i feel like it's pretty smooth, so i guess i don't really understand the question...sorry

That "band" you feel (and yes, it's there... it's on my bike too) can't be "smoothed" out that I know of... but I wouldn't worry about it. Really... you only notice it if you're rolling on the throttle VERY slowly, or putting along very slowly, say... 10mph or less (mind you, the manual says that you should pull the clutch in at 10mph and under). Just give it a little gas, slip the clutch a little, get going above 10mph, and don't worry about it.

im not positive, but wheni got the custom fuel mapit seemed to be a lot smoother

yes that is the most commen answer.. get a custom tune to correct your A/F ratio.. but i thnk what he is noticing is kinda the power you feel after you fully engage your clutch and start powering up, all depends on how u release the clutch and that sorta thing.. give your bike to a more expierence rider and see what he thinks
