Default Sitting position

Ok this is kinda a stupid question but i was just curious. Where on the seat do u sit. Do u get up as far foward as possible or do you kinda sit back from the tank a little bit. I was just thinking about this while riding and was trying out different spots. So yea. Just wondering.

I kinda hang back off the tank a bit. I know what you mean though, 'cause I find myself creepin' up on the tank. When I'm in the tuck I usually have my *** back as far as possible without it being uncomfortable or where I feel I'm not in control to make an emergency maneuver.

When braking I try to use my thighs against the tank as a brace.

I try to sit towards the tank so that I can squeeze the tank to support myself. Seems like it takes the fatigue off of my hands when I do that.

I'm finding that I move around depending on what I'm trying to do. Going fast? Down on the tank - up front of the saddle. Slower in traffic? More upright, & further back in saddle.

I think it also depends on the size of everyone where they will find their comfort zone.

I sit all the way back, squeeze the tank with my knees and keep my elbows down and in. On the off occasion I'm putting around in slow traffic... I'll slide all the way forward and do the one hand thing.

... what's up with my jeans? I like them loose. Maybe someday I can afford leathers... not sure I want to wear leather pants all the time.
