if there was any way possible, i would love to see pictures of the silverstars, hid, and stock bulbs side-by-side in rainy or foggy conditions. i have the silverstars in my truck and love them. untill it rains or is remotely foggy. the brighter lights seem to reflect more in those situations and actually seem to be worse than the softer, yellowish look of stock bulbs. its like running with the brights on and we all know that is not a good thing. it may be different on bikes but i dont know. that is why my bike has stock bulbs. sure others are brighter and allow you to see more in dark conditions, but i need more of a reason to shell out money for a product that is not completely proven to me. just my opinion.

All HID that I know of require three things and they are the same for a car or bike: bulb, ballast, ignitor. Some units have the ignitor built into the ballast.

yea Gen 1 and Gen 2. hehe I prefer the GEN 1 which is the Ballast and ignitor/starter seperate cause from experience they dont go bad as much and easier to diagnosis. Thats just my opinion.

I had silver stars on two different civics when they work they freaking rock. People would flash me thinking my brights where on. I hade silver stars for high beams also they realy got pissed when I flashed to show them that I was actualy running low beams. Fyi though I went through about six sets of them. I mean like every 3 to 6 months I had one burn out on me and nooooooooo there was no oil on them I did not touch them I even stated cleaning them with alcohol when I took out of box. I will tell you this save your boxes when mine would go out I would go make them replace them. Ps they are much much brighter at night and you can realy see farther down the road. Daytime not much to notice though. When side by side with good hids there was a huge difference also. There are different levels of hid. The silverstars actualy produce the same amount as an entry level hid but compare them to a 36000 nissan maxima ultima whatever the car is called and the silver stars are put to shame. ok there is my two cents worth.
