My friend has an 07 CBR 600RR with 4000 miles. He is asking $4500. The bike was wrecked and the insurance kept the title clean and they replaced a headlight, front fairing, left side fairing, mirror, and clutch lever. All was done at the Honda dealership. I helped him change the oil the only two times it has been changed. The last time we changed the oil was at the end of last season and I had to add a little antifreeze to the overflow resevoir, but I didn't check the radiator. My question is, is this bike worth the money and have any of you had to add antifreeze to these bikes?

 

I have just recently had to add some to my 07. I have the same bike. I figure it would be like a car. U have to add some every now and then.

 

Would $4000 be too much to pay?

 

If you can get it for 4000 then I would definitely do it. Though it was crashed, Honda did the repairs. So at least you can feel more at ease that the bike was more likely to be restored correctly.

Since you the bike still has a clean title, you could easily resell it for 4500 or more depending on the condition you keep it in.

 

4 is actually a good price. As long as you inspect everything on the test ride and like it, I say go for it.
