Shorty Levers?

Shorty Levers?
I just installed my ASV C/5 Series Unbreakable Levers for CBR600RR 07-08 - They are awesome. I got the Standard length. Even though I only use one or two fingers on the Brake, why would one choose the shorter length levers? You have more options on the Standard length, (four, three, two fingers, etc.). You are limited to one or two on the shortys. Is it cosmetics? Because I think the shortys look better. BTW - These levers are the best!

Ok. Thanks. Well, since these are Unbreakable... I don't need shortys. Question answered. There is no advantage in this case.

You choose shorties b/c they are less likely to break off in an accident.

Unbreakable? Seriously? Do you have a link to them and tests?

I think so since they have a Warranty to replace them for life! 5 Year Warranty on everything else.
And they don't bend as I thought. Here:

People rave on these. Expensive, but worth it. IMO

Interesting. Sounds like a good investment as long as they do what they are supposed to do.

RE: Shorty Levers?
The lever may not break, but look at what its attached to, especially on the brake side. I would much rather snap a 100 dollar lever then crack the housing on my master cylinder and be in the hole 400 to replace that!! You really should not need any more then one of two fingers on either of the levers anyways, as the brakes and clutch inputs are so sensitive they do not require that much force. By keeping four fingers on your levers, you are compensating your grip and throttle control. Additionally, if you give that front brake a four finger squeeze your going over the bars and into the woods.
I just picked up the CRG click-roll shorties in grey for my bike. They look like they were machined out of a solid block of aluminum. The quality is amazing!

No worries. That's what Insurance is for if that were to happen, (doubtful). That's why I carry it.
