shifting problems

Default shifting problems

ok so the bike was shipped about 2500 miles on its side. i have tried to put it into first and it kills the bike. any suggestions??? thanks for the help.

Kickstand shouldn't be down.

is there a switch in there that kills it if it is down

lol (sarcastically speaking) no it doesnt, he just likes to throw it out there to mess w/ new ppl :P

lol yes it does and its one of the top newb things that everyone is guilty of ...including myself

FWIW; I've been street riding for about 10 years and still leave the sidestand down from time to time. I'll shift into first and....well, you already know what happens.

i used to ride when i was about 20 to 21 but got in a pretty bad accident. i had a 96 cbr 600 f3. i am now 26 and just got a 06 cbr 600rr. i cant remeber back that far on little stuff like that. and the bike is not rideable and not currently at my house. so i dont spend a whole lot of time with it. it makes me pretty sad
