I was wondering, being that i dont have my bike yet.
Around what rpm would you shift to cruise, and whats a good one for racing? ( though i dont plan to race. but it does help for tight situations when you need to speed up quickly. I.E. Merging semi. Happened to me in my car but i got out of it being my car is fairly quick.)

Yeah, if you're just riding around like a sane person, just shift around the 4-5k mark like Nauree stated. When I see other sportbikes around town leaving it in first going 45-50 (and going miles like that.) You just want to smack them.

i shift at 5k when accelerating, but do have a tendency to cruise at very low rpms (if that makes sense). when racing, it really seems nice to be in the 8k-13k range because that's where the power band is totally sweet, imo, so shift wherever you feel comfortable.

gah! I meant too LOW a gear. Low gear = high RPM. it's heat buildup that's the problem. the headers put off a lot of heat and that in turn heats up the R/R Module. that causes it to malfunction and cause all sorts of problems.
sorry, thanks for catching that, even though you didn't really realize it...
