Service Manual
As with any new car/bike that I buy I always purchase a service/tech manual for the vehicle. I hate bringing my vehicles into the shop unless I absolutely have to, I try to do all of my own work. Anyways, I've found some great manuals on eBay real cheap. The only problem is that they all seem to be for the '03 600 RR. I own an '04. I know there is very little difference between these model years. Just wondering if I should dish out the cash for an '04 manual or if the '03 will do just fine. Thanks.
03/04 CBR600RR's are the same ( other than colors) so the 03 manual is going to be ok...But I bought a " factory" service manual from Ebay..and it was a PHOTOCOPIED manual..which was fine except I was expecting the ACTUAL one that was pictured...and the CD MANUALS are nice if you are working on your bike with a computer right there...other wise you have to print it out ( pain in the ***)
I figured the '03 manual would be sufficient. I'm probably going to grab the CD Manual, I have an old junk PC i leave in the garage when woprking on my bikes or cars in cas ei need to search for parts or look at diagrams. Thanks.
CD manuals rock because you can print out stuff (valve clearances for example) and get the copies nasty not your $60 manual. Also the CD I have for the 1000RR has a nice parts locator on it -- yup, all the parts with Honda #'s makes it easy to order stuff from the dealer. Sorry, don't have one for the 600RR but I can prolly locate you a deal if you like.
