personally i see no problem with buying an exhaust that's a little cheaper, paying 5,6 700 hundred bucks for a slip on is insane. Those guys who do it are paying for the name imo. When i'm out tearing the street up, the last thing on my mind is,
"I wonder what kind of exhaust that guy has?"

I recently purchased a Scorpion exhaust for my 600RR. Price was great, fit is good (its mounts straight, not crooked), liftime warranty on the baffle, and best of all - nobody else that I know has one.
I read an article comparing various pipes on an R6. The scorpion scored very good on both HP and weight (not like there is any major difference anyway)
Now, if the weather will warm up I will take it out to see how it sounds.

my roomie bought his 05 cbr600rr with a slip on scorpion exhaust. I have a yoshimura. We ride alot together and most people will tell me that they like the sound of my exhaust better, i agree. His is loud, very loud compared to mine. I have never heard a D & D so i cant compare it to that. One more thing i dont like about the scorpion is the canister/muffler is very short. It is so short, that if he had a full out fender eliminator suchj as me, you would be able to see where the canister ends which makes it less clean looking.
fyi...he has a power commander, stage 3 fuel injectors, and has had it dynoed, so i dunno if that will affect the sound at all.
Overall I would recommend the scorpion if u dont plan on doing a fender eliminator and wants a good product for cheap.
