RE: new rider but wana learn some tricks
Learn the fundamentals of riding. Leaning, correct shifting, etc... You will wheelie the bike naturally as the front comes up during the normal course of riding. Like anything it takes practice. The only thing different about this is that a) the chances of ****ing it up and wrecking your bike far outweigh your chances of success, and b) your life is on the line. People die every day trying to pull off stupid sheep.
You should thank Fingers for sticking up to you. Most people that come in here with silly questions get chased out the door. Stick around though, there is probably as much knowledge here as their is if you were to call honda directly and ask them how to fix/do something.
Stay safe, and welcome.

RE: new rider but wana learn some tricks
seriously man i have had my bike for about 4 months now and im not even thinking about popping wheelies. Just chill out and just enjoy riding the bike. Dont try and rush anything and when your friends say " dude pop a wheelie" just remember they just wanna see something cool, they dont give a s**t that your life is on the line if you screw up. I can't preach enough just ride for now and let all that stuff come to you later.
