Road tyres?
Hi
I have found a lot of advice about tyres but most seem to be giving advice on track tyres. Because my bike (07 CBR600RR) is my single form of transport I don't take it on the track
I do like to ride fairly fast though and so my rear tyre is looking a bit low after 2500 miles. I will have to change it by 3000.
Is there a tyre that will give as good a grip as the 015's that come on the bike but lasts longer?
Cheers for the advice....

pilot power 2ct's seem pretty popular, because they've got hard compound in the middle that lasts longer, and soft on the edges for better cornering grip. anybody know how long they last?

dang ..i just bought my pilot powers last week and i love them so far - they make the bike so much more stable and smooth than the qualifiers i took off. or maybe it was just the fact that the rear was so worn in the center that it had cord showing, and the front was flat-spotted from locking up the front tire, and cupped pretty bad. i got exactly 5000 out of those qualifiers - the rear was no doubt finished, and the front was to the wear bars. i look forward to getting 5k out of my pilot powers, but i don't see it happening - i spend way too much time on one wheel. on that note, i'm due for front brakes too
Bobjoezx,
Tyre pressures at recommended, no burnouts, just a really good 20 mile (each way) back lane blast to work thats relativlely traffic free.
I'll take a look at the Michelin's recommended though, thanks to people for replying.

well as u know more aggressive u ride the less miles u will have with the tire.. if u are mostly running at 70mph on a highway the middle of the tire will wear pretty quick, but should be getting almost 5k to a tire with no burnouts and max tire pressure
