Default Repsol Kit

What's up?!! Long time reader, first time poster. I just switched from Kawasaki, I had a 94 ZX7 for a long time, and finally decided to give Honda a try, and I'm not regretting it! My question is that I've seen these Repsol fairing kits on ebay for the 600rr, but I'm not sure if they're sweet or are really fruity. I mean everyone knows there aren't Repsol 600s. Would you laugh at a 600 with a Repsol kit if you saw it on the street, or would you start drooling over it? I might equate it to those meatheads who put S4 tags on their A4, or VTEC stickers all over a non VTECCivic. It just seems like you're repping something you're not with this kit. I know it's an opinion question, but I'm honestly torn here. I think the kit looks nice, but the price tag ain't cheap, so that's why I want to be absolutley sureIF I end up shelling out for one of these kits. Right now I'm thinking cool for $400 shipped, not so cool for $700. Plus I've read that these might not be of the highest quality. Any thoughts on the matter?

To each his own, but let the buyer beware (that fills my proverb quota for the day).

cbahhh!!, i was gonna get the repsol kit for my f4i but i wanted my new paint job to be more smipler. first off, anyone that sees that you spent money on you enhancing your bike look will not put you down. yes, there will be few peps out there just saying "yo is that the 1RR?" or "thats not the same thing as the 1k" and you will hear that from the guys on the 1k. other than that, i would say if you have the money for that kit then i suggest you get it.

keep in mind that repsol replicas are just for show on the RR, its not like they have more horsepower. i know that you will sell your bike much quicker if you had that kit.

yeah the kit is from Auctmarts. I have heard the quality is suspect and like I said before, they aren't cheap, so I want to be sure before I cough up that kind of cash. I think if the quality were good, then it might be worth the price tag because, don't get me wrong, initially, I thought the kit looked badass. AND the fairing still say 600rr, so it's not like it's trying to hide the fact it's a 600 not a 1k. Besides, you know what they say, "It's not the size of the boat, but the motion in the ocean!"
