Rattle in my 08
I changed my oil and filter for winterization. I also put on my new exhaust before i put it away. When i started it back up i herd a small rattle that seems to be coming from the bottom of the bike. The weird thing is it only happens when the bike is at idle. When i rev the bike up it goes away. Does anyone have any ideas?
I put 3 qts of oil in
The exhaust is buttoned up and tight, (dont think the springs are rattleing)

Its probably the exhaust, i had a similar problem on my f4i, it was an exhaust leak for me, because when i pulled off the exhaust, i realized the idiot PO, put one of the nuts on backwards so the skirt was facing out wards, and the what twisted so i had to replace the whole bolt.
But a long story short, when i put them back in one of the pipes wasn't fully aligned in and created a ticking noise when started only at low speeds and rpms when it hit higher it stopped.
check your exhaust again, most likely its from there

Maybe this is obvious but I'll put it out there anyway: After you do some work on a bike and then afterwards something isn't right that was working ok before the odds are it has something to do with the changes you made.
Sure things can go spontaneously wrong that don't have anything to do with your work but that is certainly the first place to check.
