Question to the guys has service manuals...
I called the dealer to get a service manual and they quoted me $69.99...holy ****...
I think that's way over priced...
now a question...is it really worth $69.99? or is there any other aftermarket service manuals that is comparable?...
I'mmainly just looking for some torque specs...

think about it. Hare Racing charges something like $85/hour for their labor rate. If you do one job yourself that's an hour long with the service manual, you've already made your money back. Does that sound worth it to you?????
There are guys on ebay who sell hardcopies for cheaper.

Those manuals retail for close to $85. They're great manuals but i've always just used a clymers or asked people on here and waited a day to get an answer to my problems.

i'll try the one on ebay for $5.99...
if that's not good enough i'll just buy the factory one...

I have a service manual for 03, 04 on the computer if somone know where and how to upload I will give it away F***k 'em most dealers can't fix the bikes anyway so do it yourself.
You can get the 03-04 .pdf here:

It's a great thing to have. I had it duplex printed, bound and laminated (which is genius, I know) at Staples for $10 bucks. (connections......love 'em!) This manual works fine on the 05-06 RR's with the common stuff. Engine overhauls and stuff like that I imagine would be different in the 03-04 manual, but for an 05-06 bike, I hope you wouldn't have to do that just yet, lol.

I have both the 03/04 downloaded version and the 05/06 paperback service manual. The only real differences are some of the steps with the front suspension / brakes and the rear suspension, pretty much everything else is the same. In fact the 05/06 version is just a 03/04 with the seperate steps for the 05/06 added in so it's about 20-30 pages longer.
For the most part unless your doing the suspesion work, the downloaded version 03/04 version works just fine.
But he $70.00 they charge is NOT a bad deal considering you get 03 - 06.
