I have an 03 CBR600 RR. My question is should our trannys be notchy? or really butter smooth?? MY friends 07 ZX6R is really smooth shifting, my bike ... not so much. I hear alot of people saying that this is an aggressive bike is that why? Or do i need better tranny fluid. I do rev match to make it smoother, maybe im not doing it well enough???

are you sure your shifting right? makin sure your completely off the throttle before you shift? the only mildly rough shift points i have are going from first to second gear. other than that, as long as i shift right, its fairly smooth...

 

RR= Race Ready. Thats why they say your bike is aggressive. When you shift balance out the throttle and clutch and you should be fine. Dont release the throttle all the way, then shift, then gas it. Gotta balance it as if you're starting from a red light.
