I didnt know where to post this so i guess ill just post it in here because im a new member haha. but this might be a stupid question but I have a 07 CBR 600rr and I couldn't find the helmet lock is and I got the bike used and dont have the manuel. Can someone tell me where it is???

i dont have that bike so im not 100% sure, but my 04 f4i did not come with a helmet lock on it. i am pretty sure those are something you have to buy separate.

 

okay thanks. I thought most bikes had one? guess I am wrong, but if anybody knows differently i would appricate it.

The 1kRR I had did not have much of a helmet lock. It was just a piece of wire rope wrapped in plastic. Put it through the helmet and it fit over a tab under the passenger seat. Click the seat down and it's locked. A really stupid design I think the 600RRs are similar.

 

The newer 1000 RR's supposedly have a helmet hook under the passenger seat. You remove that seat, hang your helmet loop off it and replace the seat. You might look around in there and see if yours has something similar.

alright thanks! that will help alot later down the road. also one last question, do you guys think it would be better to buy a helmet lock or just use the little rope one under the seat?

 

there was nothing, under the seat there was an area to put a little rope around a hook t looked like but i Just went out and bought a helmet lock cause it should work a little better and be eaiser to get on and off
