Default public curve speed

i read about riders taking curves at 70-80mph when the speed limit for it is for example, 35mph. Other than the track, is it really seen as 'cool' and skilled to take a curve on a public road that fast? Should I be able to do that in order to be seen as a skilled rider? As I ride now, when it says 'curve ahead, 35mph', Iheed and slow down. I'd like to keep riding my rr as long as possible. Just wondering how other riders think.

there's usually a good reason for speed limits a curves, you shouldn't confuse looking cool with being lucky cos it may just be luck that got them around the corner

Stop wearing your gear & ride ***** to the walls, thats the way to do it...
j/k

Ride within your skill limits & whats safe given the traffic around you. Drive safe.
