Passed my test yesterday, bought my first superbike today, and wah-la, here I am in the forums

Is there anything I should keep an eye out for? Any known problems with these bikes? AllI've heard is good stuff, so far.I have a 2005 cbr 600rr.

Hey Martin - Yeah will do. Going to buy myself some nice leathers I think. I've had a couple 125cc bikes on the road for a few years, but this is in a different league!

I have to say, as soon as I took it out on a test ride, I started grining from ear to ear. Then, whenI took it back to the showroom, I noticed my hands were shaking! Sold I said to the sales man.

I was also considering the R6, but many ppl said that the cbr 600rr is more forgiving, and cause it's a honda, the build is second to none. I had a Honda Prelude 2.2 VTEC car before this bike, so kept it in the family :0)

rear brake recall was for 04s i think (mine got repaired), batteries are supposedly weak, unless they fixed that for 05 as well. Aside from that enjoy it.

Ah right, I'll have to look out for that, cheers dudes! I've googled around and can't see any major problems with the 05.

Only problem is, I can't fit my surfboard on the back :-( lol

 

ya i was at the dealer to buy a used r6 and the dealer was telling me that..so i picked up the cbr and i def made the right choice!

 

Is that your blue cbr in the pic? If so, do you have any more pics? Wouldn't mind seeing it :0)

 

honda is the only way to go man.
