I am at work and have no way to post pics right now.. but the bottom of that plastic "cover" bolts into the top of your rearset.. the top part has a removable metal bracket that bolts into the subframe .. without that bracket you wont be able to mount it up.. but it will mount up no matter what kind of pipe you have as long as you have the parts .. make sense?

Sort of.

I understand how the botom bolt hoosk up. It si right above the right footpeg. I have that and it will stay with that. I just need to top or middle bolt to mount on the plastic shield. I have seen on some bikes through pic that a 3 ro 4 in looking metal piece comes from the side of the bike which i believe u are explaining and i have also been told that it wont mount inless you have the lower inner heat stock shield which i do not have. I was going to just put a clamp around the pipe which you wont really see and glue up a screw to it and rig it somehow, even though i dont like half assing a job. I would rather have a more profesional look along with a better hold on the plastic. So i am still trying to find what to do. I dont want to order the inner heat shield if i dotn need to mount it that way.

any pictures yet guys. I am pretty sure i would be alright getting the lower heat shield. I called all the stores though and no one knows how the lower heat shield mounts. It is held by 2 screws but i still dont no how it will hold in place. there are 2 screws that go through the heat shield but where from that. I wouldnt assume into the pipe obviously? ANYONE
