Just a noob question... what makes them so much better over stock?
I have them on all of my bikes. Here is a list of why:
1. There adjustable and the range of adjustability covers pretty much any hand size.
2. The pull of the levers is smoother.
3. The leverage of the levers seems better because it is easier to pull the clutch in.
4. They look really cool and can be color matched to just about any bike.
5. I clutch and brake with 2 fingers so the shorties are just the ticket because of #2 and #3. Also, the angle of the levers is steeper so when I am clutching and braking the outside of the lever doesn't pinch down on the fingers that are still on the grips.
6. Less chance of breakage in a crash. The shorties because they are, well, short and the standards because they have a notch in them that will cause the lever to break with plenty of lever left to continue riding.
7. Did I mention that they look really cool?
