Default is it normal for new tyres to do this

Hey there, I got new tyres at the weekend, its hitting about 250 kilometres on them at the moment and they are bedding in well, I had a look at them this evening and the rear in fine, just havnt leaned over to far on it yet, the centre of the front is good too but just off the centre line (about 1 inch) it looks like in very small spots the tyre has melted, and there are what looks like small strings on rubber handing off, they all peeled off in my hand and the tyre is smooth again, have just never seen it on a tyre before, they are bt014s

Probably remnants of the injection molding process... they will wear off with time. Are they small, thin, and about 1/4" long? You can just pick them off with your hand? No worries.

yeah, you described them perfectly, id say they are slightly smaller than my nail and they can even be rubber off, almost like skin peeling
