Default No cut sliders legit?

Hello everyone,

I'm new to these boards, though I've been lurking for a while. Everyone here seems to be very knowledgable and able to provide lots of useful information. So here's a question I have. Has anyone heard, or used these frame sliders? I've been a bit weary of cutting my fairings, which has caused a delay in installing sliders....well, that coupled with my laziness. Anyhow, I ran across these and was wondering what everyone thought. I question the strength of the extended arm, but it may be worth a shot.

Thanks in advance for everyone's response!

-Joey

You're gonna hear this from almost everyone here - CUT THE FAIRINGS
Those no-cut sliders are garbage and will probably do more harm than good. Frame sliders are meant to protect your engine, not your fairings so do it right and get the good stuff.

+1. It'll be fun drilling the fairings.

No-cut's are poopy. [:'(] A good friend of mine had some at one point, and he also "had" his left side fairing at one point too. He low sided, and the no-cuts caused more damage than if he didn't have them on at all.

.....oh yeah, CUT THE FAIRING! lol.

(or if you are uncomforable doing this, take it to a TRUSTED dealer or shop. They should install them for right about $50-$80 bucks)

Thanks for the replies everyone. Seems to be the common opinion, which is basically what I thought, but it was worth a shot to check. I've grown to like the Vortex sliders, but I'll look around for the sliders that require fairing cutting.

Let me take a tally. Those who say no-cut sliders suck; who has actually tried them, crashed with them, and can personally attest to their inability to protect.
