RE: Next 600RR 2007???
yeah... 07 is supposed to be the rebuild year... general rule (now being squashed and bypassed by the current literbike wars) were unveiling of new model, 1 year minor updates/color changes, 2 year minor updates/color changes,3 year minor updates/color changes, 4 year rebuild (and possibly color changes, lol) So seeing that the 600RR was brand spankin new in 03, 04 color changes, 05 diet-colorchanges-inverted fork setup, 06 color changes/minor body styling i believe, 07 should be a rebuild... specially since the R6 and Gixxer get the overhaulin treatment this year (06).
anyway, theres a little bit of logic behind it, I think.......

personally... i love this body style... i wouldnt want them to change too much. the 06 r6 looks like crap... the gixxers got a little cleaned up. but overall i think honda is the best... thats why i got one this summer '05 model... i wouldnt want them to change it already. that means i'll have to get a new one [X(]

yeah, i do hope they trim down the futuristic look of it. I don't believe Honda fans are ready for this nakedness of a bike. It's a beautiful concept but I couldn't see myself riding it, no windscreen, looks Very uncomfortable, and way too tall.
I would bring up the swingarm to lower the bike and re-develop the exhaust system.. it does look aggressive, ill give them that.. but they might want to re-think some ideas because they are going way past our era into another one and people arent ready for something like this =).. once again just my opinion..

Wow!! I saved a copy of this. Pretty darn futuristic for sure!! I'm sure they're going to have to tone it down from here. They have no turn signals or mirrors on it which will be required for street use. And reading the article, says they want to go back towards the street & away from just race-specific driven designs, etc.
It does look light weight. Probably shaved 20 lbs??? Lots of titanium & carbon fiber.
