absolutely you can do it, riding is the easy past. However, keep in mind that you arent going to be able to touch with both feet but that is no big deal. I cant really touch with both feet. I'm 5'7 and and I just barely touch on the tips of my toes. so most of the time I just stop on one foot.
If you want to do it, then do it. Thats all there is to it

How can anyone hate on a chick who loves bikes...that's the best combination in the world Now I'm not a giant like the others on this post (wink-wink), but I do consider myself a tall 5'6"[sm=lol.gif]. I can just tippy-toe, but also just go one foot most the time. I've read some of your other posts too and I'm sure you'll do fine on your RR. Have fun, and ride safe.

Let me get this straight...you've already bought the bike and all you have to do is pick it up, but you're just now asking if it's a good idea to get it...ugh!
Can a 5'3" girl ride this bike as her first bike...sure she CAN...is it a good idea...nope! I guess I'm one of the few people that think you made a terrible decision, because first off you bought a bad starter bike and you also bought a bike that's WAY too big for you as a starter bike! Make sure you have someone around you at all times for when you drop it at a light, because it's pretty much guaranteed that you will and another guarantee is you won't be able to lift it yourself (unless you're a 5'3" beast).
Trust me, I'm not trying to scare or discourage you, but this is something you should have researched before you bought a bike...these things are not toys and can seriously hurt you if you make the wrong decisions...and a new rider with the saying "drive it like you stole it" in their signature may have the wrong/unrealistic impression of sport bikes and might be more infatuated with the sport bike image and not have what's best for her in mind.
I'll pray for you...

well......i agree with everyone on this topic....i guess you could say that i particularly agree with fretless on this also. which is also hypocritical of me to really agree with since the 600rr was my first bike as well. although i don't regret my decision and i feel that you should get what you want...i also know a female rider slightly taller than you (purchased an r6 as her first)....who fell a lot. especially at stop lights....oh....and especially at 90 degree turns.
in anycase....seeing as how today is friday, and you are going to pick your beautiful bike...i assume you wont really have to time to reply. but becareful and make sure you gear up. i would highly recommend frame/spool sliders so that when you fall (everyone falls...you gotta expect it sometime) it won't damage your bike too badly....which should be the least of your worries.
well....congrats.........and ride safe
