Default new owner needs help - knocking?

I am the proud new owner of a 2006 600rr, with 2615 miles on it. But there is a problem. When I went to start the bike for the first time after getting it home from picking it up from the dealer it makes this loud clicking/ticking noise that sounds like a marble is bouncing around in the head. Sorta like something stuck in a metal fan blade.

Its was about ~20 degrees outside today when I started it, and the engine was around 40 degrees at cold. I let the bike sit for a few minutes to warm up to about 80 degrees. I then took it around the block to find that the noise went away after about 20 feet of riding

The noise is present at idle and speeds up with positive throttle. The clicking noise comes and goes in varying degrees. It sometimes seems to affect the idle slightly, the bike would seem to hiccup and the exhaust would go in pulses, again this is sporadic. Once the bike has been ridden for a few feet raising the temp and rpms it acts fine, no noise.

Now the bike has been down on the left side, but there was no major damage from what I could tell, or to my knowledge. Just rashed up fairings and stator case.

The bike has been sitting out in the cold now (10-40 degrees) for the better part of a month, having only been started a few times.

I'm hoping this isn't a spun bearing or a rod. If it was wouldn't it be a continuous problem, not just when the bike is cold?

I haven't had a chance to really take the bike out on a prolonged ride, past a few minutes as it is soo cold here. If i cant figure out the problem soon I am going to take it into a shop/dealer and see what they say.

Attached are two videos that I took, all though very crappy I hope they can help.

Hard to tell from the vids but it might just be your cct (cam chain tensioner). Hondas are notorious for this but luckily it's a fairly easy fix.

would it go so early? i thought it could be that. I had replaced it on my 98 f3, but it had 20k miles on it when i did.

It is hard to make out, but since it goes away when it is warm, it is possible that the noise could be from piston slap. I can hear the tick, but it is very hard to tell if it is coming from the top or bottom end.

Yeah that is pretty low miles for it going bad. If you bought it from a dealer i'd be taking it back and getting them to look into it.

Had her looked at. Mechanic gave her a clean bill of health. It was just simply way too cold out like you said. I'm soo relieved. Runs great. Thanks guys.
