Default NEW Modular Helmets!

Dudes, have ya'll check this out? These are some new things called Modular helmets. Instead of just the shield flipping up, the entire face area flips up. Interesting little bit of new technology. What do ya'll think?

They've been out for a while. I dont know if I would trust a frontal impact thought. I have worn one a few times though. Its nice at lights or something if you need to talk to a riding partner.

I forget what the percentage of impacts is that happen on that area that flips up there, but I want to say like approx 20%. That section, because it is moveable, will not be as strong or impact worthy as a helmet that has that piece as a part of the original mold. I kinda like my face, so I'll stay away from those. People will still use them, and if you want one, more power to you.

cmra approved as in meaning what? well, since you have one, is it good to use? would you recommend it? i just like it cause of the oddness to it, i think its kind of trippy. also, i believe that if i crash at a high rate of speed, i am more or less, going to die or be a vegetable. so, helmets are my last concern, kind of. well, the person that i have put in charge of me if i am a vegi, will pull the plug and donate my organs, that much i know for sure, plus i want to be cremated, so i aint to worried about my face. lol. but, is it a good helmet?

those lids have been out since the 1800s'.. you know what im talking about.
you see those helmets will not fit as snug as the full face. the full face has more of padded areas around the checks and the chin which is why your helmet does not fly around your head/face when you move your head left to right (providing you have the correct size lid).
but, im sure that if you use the helmet straps and tie yourself down the modular will work just as well and a full face.
be safe!

I ride with one, and I would recommend them. I occasionly smoke or spit a loogey, makes that possible. And actually it fits more snug than the full facers.
