Default New Bike!!

Hi there everyone,

Just got my CBR 600RR and couldnt be happier with the bike. I've been needing a new helmet and wonding what people out there are using/thinking. I've looked into the Shoei RF-1000's and TZ-R's as well as the HJC AC-11/12 or even an AVG XR-2. Any thoughts on those or some better suggestions for a comperable helmet?

I would post a picture or 2 but they say my files are too large to load, so i'll have to figure something else out. Thanks everyone. JT

oh forgot to add this little bit of information,

I tore the ligaments of my left ankle 1 week ago and am facing 3 to 4 weeks in a cast followed by intensive physical therapy. In short no riding of my new bike for at least 1.5-2 months and the snow is just beginning to melt around here. Couldnt have gotten worse timing if somone had cursed me or something. But i will be doing the virtual ride in my garage everyday until I can take her out on the road.

Personally I like my Suomy Spec-1R. The fit is fantastic. http://www.suomy.com

I gaurantee you will not be dissapointed if you invest in a Shoei-RF1000.

You'll also be spending several more hundred dollars on a Shoei or Suomy. An HJC AC-12 has tons of good features like anti-fog shield and a windtunnel tested design for hundreds less. Plus fit and weight are good too. My HJC CL-14 fits great on me, but its heavy and not very aero. But it was also only 150 bucks. I just cant spend 400 on a helmet. They dont protect any better than the cheap ones so if the cheap ones fit you good and you like the style, then get that. Or you could get a Shoei, Suomy, or AGV for the bling.

I have a HJC Cl-14 and its pretty good. I am planning on upgrading to the RF-1000 diabolic soon... I guess it depends on how much you wanna spend...And i've heard the Shoei's are alot better as far as fit and comfort.

i have a shoei x-11 and love it. i also have and hjc as a second helmet thats works just fine for me as well...although it doesn't give as much air flow as the x-11. both are great helmets....
