Talking New 600rr owner!

I ended up buying a 2008 600rr sooner than I originally planned. I'm making the switch from cruiser (Suzuki Boulevard M50) to sportbike. I like the body style of the '08 better than the '09, plus the dealerships are now offering deals on the '08. I bought the bike on Thursday during a level 2 snow emergency. My bike got delivered to my house today. Because of the ice that is still around the guys from the dealership got stuck for a while in my driveway. Now I just have to wait for weather to improve so I can actually start riding.

My next motorcycle expenses will likely be on getting into trackday riding before I do anything to the bike. I've been riding for 4 years but I'd like to take my skills further before making the bike faster.

I went to Honda of Fairfield. If you are looking at local dealerships they were very courteous there and as far a customer service goes they are great to deal with. The salesman did a good job of basically talking motorcycles with me rather than being overly aggressive and pushing for a sale. He was even one of the guys who drove the bike out to me today. Since I don't have a trailer or ramps for my truck it was nice that they delivered my bike in an enclosed trailer for around $30. Not bad considering that I'm actually in Indiana. I had my choice b/w orange, silver, or graffitti. They took about 1000 off of msrp. The graffitti is of course a couple hundred more. Don't just look at the tags because if you just ask they will quote you a price that is actually discounted more.

I REALLY want to ride now. Can't wait to hit my favorite backroads when the weather improves.

^^ A mod bug is something that normal people get. People like you have Mod Terburkulosis and symptoms of "deep-pocketitus".
